Parsnip

Meet Parsnip.  She was hit by a car and the good samaritan that saw the accident occur brought her to the shelter.  There she sat, with a broken leg for a week.  By the time we were informed about her she was on the euthanasia list.  We got her to an orthopedic specialist with the hopes that her broken femur could be repaired.  Sadly there were multiple small fractures in the bone and when the surgeon tried to plate it there was not leverage.  In the middle of surgery we made the decision to amputate the leg.

The good news is – it is her rear leg which is a lot easier for dogs to be without.  She has made a great recovery and has no idea she is different from all the other puppies.  Shes a playful, happy, gentle dog who does great with other dogs.  If you would like to give this 3 legged dog a forever home please email us.

Thank you for choosing to adopt and saving a life.
