Please help us make more second chances possible.
Who are we…
Love Leo Rescue is a 501(c) 3 non-profit rescue located in Los Angeles, CA. Our focus is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome sick, injured, abandoned and forgotten dogs. Our heart is with dogs with special medical needs, conditions and past trauma because if we don’t save them, it’s likely nobody else will. We believe every dog deserves a second chance.
Spay and Neuter
For the past 3.5 years, we host a monthly free / low cost spay and neuter program in the low income and underserved area of South El Monte. Our goal is to tackle the pet overpopulation crisis at the source. In addition to improving the quality of life for these animals and their humans, it is also the most effective way to reduce the number of stray and unwanted animals.
Since the start of this program, we have spayed and neutered almost 1000 dogs and cats. We have even hosted four clinics in Tijuana, during which we “fixed” almost 500 animals.

Love Leo has a soft spot for dogs that have been abused, neglected, injured and forgotten. Many of the dogs we save require costly, life saving medical care. Dogs with broken legs, dogs with pneumonia or parvo, dogs that have been hit by cars, dogs with severe skin infections, dogs that have been starved, or left to fend for themselves on the street, moms and puppies that are no longer wanted by their former families. All of these dogs are given a second chance under the care of Love Leo.
Every dollar adds up and is appreciated by the Love Leo dogs.
