Meet Olaf. He is a 5 month old shepherd mix, who weighs 25 lbs and will likely be around 45-50 lbs at maturity. He was found in a rough part of town, on the side of the street. He could hardly walk. Some kind people got him out of that situation – got him to the vet and took wonderful care of him until they were able to reach out to us. Olaf has a previously broken femur. After a consultation with our orthopedic specialist – we decided surgery was NOT the best option for him as rebreaking that leg would be painful. Happily he has started using that leg. Though his leg may be a bit shorter than the other leg – it appears he will have use of it and this should not cause him any problems going forward.
He is a happy and very gentle boy who loves playing with other dogs. He is soulful and sweet and will make a lucky family very happy.
