Meet Pistachio. This handsome fella found himself in big trouble at a busy shelter. He had a badly injured/broken front leg and was hobbling around his kennel in a lot of pain. The shelter vet tried to repair it but ended up doing more harm than good. When the “final plea” to save him went out for him – we knew we wanted to help. Luckily the amazing Dr. Balfour was able to squeeze him in for surgery and now – his leg is repaired and he is on the mend.
Pistachio is a 5 year old Boxer mix who is loyal and loving and good with other dogs. He is a big, strong dog – who cannot wait for his cast to come off so he can join his human on hikes and walks. Good with other dogs and we think he will be fine with kids too. Please consider adopting this good hearted dog.
