Meet Misa. She is a mature female lab/pit mix who spent over a month at the very busy Riverside shelter. We think she is about 8 years old. She came into the shelter in rough shape, emaciated, with major hair loss and some old wounds. It is clear her previous life was a tough one. When we told the staff there we wanted to rescue her they were over the moon. During her time there she had won over the hearts of volunteers and staff and they all really wanted to see her make it out of the shelter to safety.
She was kenneled with other dogs at the shelter but now that she is feeling better she has shown some signs that she would do best as an only dog. She loves going for walks and laying on her bed in the sun. She is so grateful for all the love and affection she is receiving out of the shelter. She would be an easy dog to please, a soft scratch behind her ears, a bully stick every once in a while and a stroll around the block. She would be forever grateful to have the life that eluded her during her first 8 years.
Thank you for choosing to adopt and saving a life.
