Meet Doug. He is a 6 year old, American Bulldog mix. This gentle giant was rescued from a busy shelter on his last day of safety. An adopter was supposed to pick him up but they took one look at him and walked away – leaving him wagging his tail slowly in the lobby of the shelter. Maybe they hadn’t realized that he was 95 lbs, or maybe had not been made aware that most of his teeth were ground down from years of living outside, maybe they did not see all of his scars from his website photo.
His shelter photo was one of the saddest we have ever seen. Clearly his life before us was sad. But now in a loving foster – he has blossomed. He is good with large dogs and kids too. Please consider adopting this very worthy dog.
