Peaches (and Cream) were surrendered to the shelter in a cardboard box. They were both covered in ticks and fleas and were just a few hours from becoming critical due to blood loss. As soon as we saw their photo we hired someone to make the 2 hour drive to San Bernardino and got them straight to our vet. It took 3 vet techs 3 hours to pick all of the ticks off them. Happily they made it and spent the next month recovering at their foster home and learning to be puppies.
Turns out – two families who are neighbors – each adopted one of the puppies. Now Peaches and Cream get to have puppy playdates. These bonded siblings had experienced a lot in their young lives. We are happy they get to grow up with each other.
