Meet Kimchi. He was surrendered to the shelter because he was not feeling well and his owner did not (or could not) get him to the vet for care. It turns out he has what is called Puppy Strangles. It is an autoimmune disease that can affect puppies under 4 months old. Though it looks scary – it can be treated with a 3 week round of steroids. After just a few days the swelling in his face has gone down and he is feeling a lot better. We expect him to make a full recovery and be ready for adoption at the end of December.
He is a smart and affectionate dog who loves going for walks and is good with other dogs. He loves sleeping by your feet or being snuggled at your side. He is a gem of a dog and we cannot wait to see his transformation.
Thank you for choosing to adopt and saving a life.
