MEET CLOVER

A smiling man and woman crouch on a grassy area with a dog between them, holding the dog's head. The man has curly hair and a beard, wearing a gray t-shirt and black pants. The woman has short dark hair, glasses, a black t-shirt and blue jeans. They are outdoors near a large tree, with a park or garden in the background.

Clover is a one year old pitbull who was found in the desert, covered in toxic green paint. The paint burned her skin, causing severe burns and lesions all over her body. She spent three weeks in the hospital receiving wound care. Eventuality she was released to a foster home.

Clover made a beautiful physical recovery. She does have some scars, but her transformation is impressive.  However, her emotional scars took longer to heal. As you can imagine, Clover had stranger danger and was fearful of new people.

It took time and patience for her new family to gain her trust and to teach her the world was not such a scary place after all. Clover is happily adopted now and living in Los Angeles with her humans.
