Meet Pringle.  This little guys is about as brave as they come.  He was brought in to a high kill shelter after he was attacked by a larger dog.  He had multiple puncture wounds on his little body and his upper forearm was broken in two pieces. Sadly he sat there 10 long days before we were made aware of him.

As soon as we saw his photo we sent our transporter out to Riverside shelter and got him into surgery with our orthopedic surgeon.  It was a difficult break to repair due to the fact it was an old injury. In addition – the bone had punctured muscle and tissue and formed an abscess.  A pin was inserted to hold the bones in place and will be removed once they bone is stable.

He has been so good during this whole ordeal.  He’s patient and loving and knows that we are here to help him.  He’s in a wonderful foster home with other dogs and does well with them.  Our guess is he’s about 4 months old and a total mix of many different small breeds.  He has a copper colored coat and hazel eyes and an adorable underbite.

He will be ready to go home around the middle of March.
