Meet Mr. Pickles.
When we first saw Mr. Pickles, he was sad as could be. His former family brought him to the shelter because he allegedly bit one of the adult sons. We don’t know what happened that day and – there are so many reasons that can lead up to a dog biting or snapping. We wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and get him out of there and properly evaluated.
The shelter staff said he was so depressed he wouldn’t even lift his head. But as soon as our volunteer got there he perked up and even wagged his tail. There was no other rescues interested in him and because he was a declared “rescue only”… LLR was his only hope of getting out of there alive. (No pressure there).
Now that he’s been with us for a little while, we can say he’s sweet and happy 95% of the time but can get a little grumpy if you try and manhandle him.
For this reason, we are looking for a very experienced home with no children under 18. We are also going to require that the adopter have at least one session with our trainer, @decodingdogsla to set Mr. Pickles up for success.
Since this photo, we have had his double cherry eye taken repaired and he has been neutered, microchipped and is up-to-date on vaccines.
Mr. pickles is a beautiful, two-year-old #englishbulldog who is in great shape. He is good with other dogs and walks well on leash. If you are serious about giving him a great forever home please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
