Meet Big Bertha. She is a gorgeous 1-2 year old Wheaten Terrier/Shih Tzu (?) mix. She loves going for long walks and hikes and would make a great exercise partner. She is sturdy and weighs about 30 lbs. In the house she is quiet and respectful and totally house trained. She does well with all the other dogs in her foster home.
She was surrendered to us after her owners were cited by animal control for having too dogs. She had seven 4 week old puppies at the time. Sadly, the former owner gave away three of those puppies even though they were hardly old enough to eat on their own. Happily, Big Bertha and her 4 remaining puppies made their way to safety.
She can be a little territorial of her home and her humans and for that reason we do not recommend a home with kids under 10 years old.
