Basel (the Brave)

Basel (the Brave)

Meet Basel the Brave. He was found as a stray in the desert – wandering around with a horrible wound that covered 1/3 of back. We don’t know what happened to him – it could have been he was injured trying to sneak under a fence – or something else. The shelter did their best to care of him but it was clear he was in critical need of 24 hour care and surgery.
The good news is we rescued him and our wonderful vet was able to close the wound with extra, loose skin. He is healing beautiful and you would never know anything happened to him based on his sweet and loving personality.
He is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes. He is house trained and crate trained and great in the house. Hes got medium energy and enjoys a hike and a good walk and wrestling with canine friends. We imagine he would do well with cats as long as there was proper introduction. He can be a little weary of new people – but he’s learning that most people are kind and caring and – carry treats in their pockets.
