2018 March Free Spray and Neuter Clinic

March 3 @ 7:30 am - 2:00 pm PST
  • This event has passed.

February is a short month so March 3 is our next clinic.  Help end the over population of dogs in Los Angeles,  Love Leo Rescue will host our 20th FREE spay and neuter clinic.  We hold our clinic in the under served area of South El Monte.  South El Monte is an unincorporated area and therefore is not serviced by some of the city and county programs.  On a typical drive through this neighborhood – you will often see stray or “neighborhood” dogs and cats roaming the streets.  Most of these animals are not altered and therefore and the number of “unwanted litters” produced in this area is extremely high.  Along with spay and neuter – Love Leo Rescue provides low cost or free vaccines – ensuring that these animals stay healthy and disease free.

At our November event we spayed and neutered 22 dogs and cats, and that was all before 2 p.m.. Several dogs where turned away because they had been given food that morning. One dog was turned away, over 80 lbs., too large for our mobile clinic.  One dog was a senior and required prior blood work.

Please make sure to follow our instructions so that you can have your animal treated properly.

If each one of these animals, male and female,  had just ONE litter of 6 puppies or kittens – that would result in 132  “unwanted” animals in just one 12 month period.

HELP,  be part of the unwanted animal solution.
